Women's Basketball Propels Themselves to Buddy's Championship with Win over San Francisco (Updated Saturday Schedule)

VALLEY VILLAGE, CA - The LAVC Women's Basketball team beat San Francisco City 66-61 tonight to solidify their spot in the championship game of the Buddy's All-Star Classic!

The game looked to be in hand after the first half, when the Monarchs went up 32-23 over the Rams.  San Francisco clearly made adjustments at half time and cut the lead to eight going into the fourth and final quarter.  Although the score got closer, even to within three points, the Monarchs never let that phase them.  They held the lead the whole game, with some timely shots at the end to extend and solidify their lead and win.  

This win propels the Monarchs into the Championship game tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. vs Mt. SAC.

Cypress vs Fullerton at 11:00 a.m.

Ventura vs Rio Hondo at 1:00 p.m.

Long Beach vs San Francisco at 3:00 p.m.

Mt. SAC vs LA Valley at 5:00 p.m.
