Four Monarchs Named to Pacific League All-Conference Offensive Team

VALLEY GLEN, CA - Four Monarchs Football players were named to the 2023 Pacific League All-Conference Offensive Team.  Jason Wagner, Jr. and Jordan Towns IV were named to the first team.  Graham Blubaugh and Daylen Ortiz were named to the second team.

Jason Wagner, Jr. was selected first team All-Conference for the second year in a row with a unanimous vote this year.  Wagner, a wide receiver, had three games during the season where he gained over 100 yards - 133 yard versus Glendale, 147 yards at Santa Monica and his biggest game at West L.A. where he totalled 172 yards.  Two other games Wagner totalled over 90 yards, so for five of the ten Monarchs games Wagner was an incredibly integral part of the offense.

Jordan Towns IV, who was an important part of the Monarchs offensive line, was rightly rewarded with a first team offensive selection for his efforts during the 2023 season.  He held off the opposing teams defensive lines from reaching Monarch quarterbacks, allowing them time to survey the field and complete their passes.  He also was a lead blocker, opening gaps for running backs to jet through and push the ball down the field.

Graham Blubaugh, who was named second team offense, was a leading touchdown scorer for the Monarchs this season. Blubaugh led the Monarchs with nine total touchdowns. His best scoring game came at Santa Monica where he scored three Monarch touchdowns in a 34-29 win, obviously making a difference in that win.  One time this year Blubaugh ran for over 100 yards, reaching 102 yards at Victory Valley.

Daylen Ortiz was also named to the second team offensive team as the Monarchs kicker.  Twice during the season Ortiz scored eight points for the Monarchs - five of those points coming from points after the touchdown. His longest field goal made this year was 31 yards.  Ortiz scored in every game in 2023 but one.

Congratulations to the Football Monarchs selected to the Pacific League All-Conference Offensive Team!
