IRVINE, CA - Monarchs Baseball traveled to Irvine Valley and picked up a 5-1 win.
Eight out of nine Monarchs starters got a hit in the game. Will White (pictured right) led with a home run and two runs batted in. Royce Clayton, Jr. was 2-4 in the game.
Pitching was what pushed the Monarchs to victory. Daniel Tovar went five innings, getting the win and striking out five batters. Amari Yolas, Zack Freck and Ryan Higgins combined for four scoreless innings following Tovar's outstanding outing. Higgins threw the last inning and one third and got the save.
