Athletes of the Week - 4/1

Congratulations to the Los Angeles Valley College Athletes of the Week, Kyra Freemon and James Coker!

Freemon is a part of the Women's Swimming and Diving team and had an incredible showing at Western State Conference Meet number three.  She finished first in the one and three meter dives, scoring a personal best on both dives.  Freemon also finished first in the 400 freestyle relay.

Coker is a pitcher on the Baseball team who took a no-hitter into the eighth inning last week.  In the Monarchs win against Moorpark Coker pitched seven and two-thirds innings, had 12 strikeouts and gave up the one hit with two outs in the eighth inning.  

Incredible showing last week from both of these Monarchs!

Women's Swim and Dive will participate in the Pasadena Invite at East Los Angeles College April 4-6.  Baseball returns home for a game against Citrus on Thursday, April 4 at 2:30 p.m.
