Athletes of the Week - 2/19

Congratulations to the LA Valley College Athletes of the Week Gizelle Moreno and Yah Humphrey!

Women's Basketball player Gizelle Moreno had a record setting game in the Monarch's 81-66 Sophomore Night win over Santa Monica, last week.  Her incredible game included a triple-double with 11 points, 15 rebounds and 15 assists.  Her assists total set a new, in game record at Valley College.

Men's Basketball player Yah Humphrey also had an extremely successful Sophomore Night, despite his team coming up just short in the win column.  Humphrey poured in 34 points, including hitting six three pointers, in an incredible effort to help the Monarchs.

What incredible efforts by these two Monarchs!  Both Men's and Women's Basketball play their last regular season games of the 2023-24 season on Friday, February 23 at Bakersfield.  The Men will tip off at 5:00 p.m. and the Women's game will begin at 7:00 p.m.
