Athlete of the Week - 1/8

Congratulations to the Los Angeles Valley College Athlete of the Week, Men's Basketball player Zyaun Lee!

Last week, Zyaun had a huge part of the Monarch's second half comeback win over Oxnard.  He had a double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds. 

Included in his 22 points were a few sets of clutch free throws that helped with the comeback and eventually helped solidify the lead in the game.

In his 14 rebounds, eight of them were offensive rebounds. Zyaun put a couple of shots back up and also got the ball out to teammates who were able to put the ball in the bucket.

Huge game! Zyaun and the Monarchs open Western State Conference play this week on Wednesday, January 10 against College of the Canyons.  Tip off is 5:00 p.m.
