Athlete of the Week - 1/1

Congratulations to the Los Angeles Valley College Athlete of the Week, Women's Basketball player Sofia Cruz!

Sofia led the Monarchs with 19 points in their 70-65 win over Cypress last week.  She was 4-7 from the three point line, and shot 50% from the field overall.  Cruz also contributed four rebounds in the game, including two crucial offensive rebounds that led to Monarch points.

Catch Sofia and the Women's Basketball team when they open up Western State Conference play on Wednesday, January 10 at 7:00 p.m. versus College of the Canyons.
