Jordyn Jiron - Athlete of the Week 12/12

Sophmore Women's Basketball player Jordyn Jiron is the L.A. Valley College Athlete of the Week for the week of December 12!

Jiron had an incredible LAVC Buddy's All-Star Classic last week.  She scored in the double digits for the Monarchs every game - 17 against Fullerton, 12 against Ventura and a team leading 19 again San Fransisco City.  Her final two points of the San Fransisco game were her most important, though, when Jiron put in the winning bucket for the Monarchs with less than one second left on the clock to win the third place game of the tournament.

Her stellar performance not only earned her Athlete of the Week honors, Jiron was also named to the Buddy's All-Star Classic All-Tournament team.
