Meet the 2022-2023 Monarchs

The 2022-2023 season is looking bright for the Monarchs as they have six sophomores who are determined to succeed. Of those sophomores, three are returning starters: Jordyn Jiron, Jackie Privado, and Leena Vo. The other returning sophomores are Emilié Brugna and Juliet Jaramilo. The Monarchs welcomed in transfers Dyani Del Castillo (sophomore) from Glendale Community College and Princess Byrd (freshman) from Pasadena City College. Center, Sydney Martin who suffered a leg injury last season has returned with full health and is ready to compete.

The Monarchs are looking forward to their opportunity of redemption. Last year's adversity allowed tremendous growth. The ladies worked hard in the off-season to prepare themselves for the upcoming season. They have developed and matured in all aspects of their lives. With the strength, length, and quickness of the players, this year's team will be exciting to watch.

The Monarchs possess passion and toughness and are eager to give Coach Hang her 5th Western State Conference Title as the last time was in 2018. The team plans to make history and leave a mark on Coach Hang's Legacy. This season's team is all about striving for greatness and excellence. With the support and guidance from the coaching staff, the Monarchs are committed in preparing daily to achieve their ultimate team goal.
